For me, I generally try to buy tools from one of two places (if possible): USA or Japan. Yet the I'm tired of the word salad that has become marketing . . . its like at the Corporate Office they're thinking . . .

- Made in USA
- Forged in USA
- Sourced in America
- Made in America from Global Components

We’re living in the tail end of the golden era of hand and power tools. Anyone can buy any tool they want to spend the money on. Just a drive or click away. I am sad to see the second tier American made tools go away.

It kind of drives me nuts to have voted with my dollars for so long on tools and parts and even footwear only to find I was financing a companies outsourcing plans.

A pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel hanging out of his pants.
The bartender gives him an odd look and asks "Hey mate, what's with the steering wheel?"
The pirate replies, "Arrrr.. It's driving me nuts!"
