Relative newbie here- finally started building my dream garage- 24 x 32 , 12 ft ceilings, radiant floor heat with master bedroom on second floor.
I hope to pour the concrete floor next week and here's my question. I plan on putting epoxy down(maybe when it gets warmer) and was wondering if a broom finish is better than a smooth finish?
Are there advantages with one or the other? I believe I read somewhere on here that the broom finish will make the epoxy adhere better.
Any thoughts or info would be greatly appreciated!:headscrat

Ask for a very light broom finish. That texture will give the epoxy more footholds to mechanically attach to, even the better epoxies and primers that penetrate the concrete to chemically bond will appreciate the extra surface area.
