What Garage Opener do you like?

I'm in the market for a new garage door opener saince I have added a little weight to my metal doors by adding insilation.

I'm thinking of going with a 3/4 hp opener.

I've seen the Chamberlain garage door opener with the MyQ option and thought it was kinda kewl. does anyone have any experience with the feature?

NOTE: IIRC the Chamberlain/Liftmaster/Sears openers homelink may or may not work with vehicles that are older than 2011

Any thoughts or opinions are greatly apprectiated.

The Liftmaster 3800 is a Jack shaft style and thats what i have works great and is quiet.

LOVE my liftmaster 8500's... Very quiet. And cleans up the look of the garage by eliminating the **** in the middle... even better if you convert to high track lift.

Good to hear because I just bought a pair of them for my new build. Yes, high-tracks too. Should be going in within a week or so.

Well folks I went with the Lowes Model #: LW5000EV Chamberlain 3/4-HP MyQ Battery Backup Belt Garage Door Opener.
I replaced all of the rollers and had the door adjusted after adding 10-20lbs with the Atlas Matador Insulation kit(s).

All I can say is WOW what a difference! Now I know why they call it a Whisper drive.

I have a couple of order cars so I also ordered a Homelink repeater from Chamberlain customer service.
Fairly easy to order...10 minutes on hold...gave the rep my opener info and $7 later it's on its way to me.
A disappointment was the fact that my Harley Remote Control Garage Door Opener Kit will no loner work.
I also ordered a MyQ® Internet Gateway CIGBU and I'm looking forward to its arrival and internet setup.

That's a nice opener! Also check out the LiftMaster website - they have a bunch of 3 button remotes, keyfobs, etc. You can even turn a light or appliance on and off with the remote.

Just installed two of these on new construction and love them. Super quite! I had to get the extension since my doors are 8 feet and not the standard 7.

I just got the Liftmaster 8500 (jackshaft) with MyQ for my new garage addition. Picked up the laser assist too. Can't wait to get it installed! I like the "expandability" with the MyQ system, not sure yet how far I'll go with it, but at least I have some options...

I just received my Internet Gateway. I plugged it into my router.
I created an account on https://www.mychamberlain.com/Login.aspx
I entered the Gateway serial number into my newly created mychamberlain.com account
I pressed the "Learn" button on the Garage Door Opener and the opener lights flashed 2 times.

All Done!

I can open and close the garage door via my iPhone (or any browser) and get alerts via push text, email or both.

Super Simple! It is the easiest computer device I've ever installed! ...Now on to get some light modules...

I believe so...but I would contact Chamberlain support to verify.
