Jalopnik.com has a pretty sweet top-ten list of what goes into a perfect garage.

Some of it is a little luxurious for my taste (heated floors? well, I do live in California so that might be a real necessity elsewhere), but still they've got some nice ideas. I'm definitely doing the whiteboard!

Anyways, thought I'd share!

More interestingly, what do you guys think they forgot to list?

But the Porsche is probably cheaper to buy on your own, so if your dreaming might as well wish for the most expensive thing.

You're right...obtaining a Porsche is the least of my concerns. Finding a woman willing to help turn wrenches whilst wearing underwear & high-heels...now that's gonna cost.

Kinda reminds me of the joke:

A guy is conversing with God and asks for one wish.

"What would you like?" asks God.

"Well, I don't like to fly and I've never been to Hawaii, so I'd like a bridge built from Los Angeles to Maui".

"That's quite a project. I'm not sure even I could pull that off." God replies. "Is there anything else?"

"Well...perhaps you could help me understand women?"

"Umm..." God pauses. "...would you like that bridge two lanes or four?"

:bounce:

No matter what you think about women - or the experiences you've had - it's the First thing a (HEALTHY!) man thinks of!!! Certainly the first thing I thought of (even before opening the thread)..... and I HAVE it!!! No need to re-introduce Mrs. E-tek!

Don't want the Porsche, the girl would be really nice but my wife might object.

So what do I most in my perfect garage ? ME !!!! a little over a year ago, I built the most awesome garage around, lots of space to do everything, I have all the tools to do anything I want and I NEVER HAVE THE TIME TO BE IN THE THING !!!

I hear that, my garage is a complete dump but I still wish I could get some time in there. Family first and all, but I'm ready for grandma, my wife, and my 2 girls to go on a girls vacation for about 2 weeks. Hmm what would I do...empty the garage, insulate the garage, rewire the garage, drywall the garage.

It would still be dinky, but it would at least then be ready for me to work on little by little. Its finding the block of time to start thats the hard part.

I'd settle for being in the same state as my garage for a couple of weekends so I could do those same things.

I used to work for Steelcase and they own Polyvision. www.polyvision.com find your local rep and get a sheet. I have one, it's a ceramic-on-steel nothing will stain it and your favorite auto parts store magnet will stick to it. Sweet!

You can keep the girl, I have one and she owns half my stuff. An extra would mean I would have to work FOREVER as she would leave with this and the rest of my Mopars and STUFF!!

This is my shop and its one of my favorites.
