what hand tools does snap on NOT warranty?

socket end wrenches and double socket end wrenches. both have cracked socket ends.

blue point 9" slip joint pliers with a sheared off center bolt and another pair with so much loose play it jumps teeth. can't tighten it because its stripped or somthing

my dads dealer said no to all 4 items.

All 4 should be fine, if your dad has a regular dealer I'm suprised he didn't replace them. I'll second sending them in as your best bet.

they don't sell double flex head wrenches any more.

the blue point pliers are 20 years old with red handles

What kind of replacement would you expect for the two double flex wrenches? Four combination wrenches with the socket end (saltus wrenches)?

You've posted multiple times about how you've abused your dealer's good faith, yet you're still unable to piece together why he won't warrant broken tools for you. How long does it take to figure out you reap what you sow?

this dealer is my dads dealer. they are on good terms for the most part. my dealer well... different story

1 year, proof of purchase required for battery warranty. Snap-on has really clamped down on battery warranty due to abuse of the system. Batteries are now serial numbered. So you are out of luck on your flea market cordless tool purchases.

i haven't bought any snap on cordless tools ever, just wondering for future purchase. what if the battery fails or has problems after 1 year? do they offer exchange and reduced cost or would i be out of luck?

do those have memory, meaning if you use them a little bit and put it on the charger again before its fully drained? some tools are really picky about that

Find another dealer. That guy is a DB. There is no reason why he shouldn't warranty those items.

A rechargable battery is an expendable item. They will all fail eventually. It is the nature of the item. There is good news though. When the battery reaches the end of its useful life, you will have gotten what you paid for. There is even more good news, you will not be out of luck. Snap-on will gladly sell you another battery at list price.

to the original poster please find another dealer or send that stuff in. your dealer is not doing what he should be doing.
there is not much that we cannot warranty.
I watched a guy use his 1/2 drive extension as a push rod and beat the **** out of the back end and it started chipping off as well. he said here warranty this. they other guys in the shop jumped all over him and told him to use the tool right or buy one from china to do that with. I didnt have to say a word.

Matco's doin the same thing. All Cordless tools, batteries and chargers are serial numbered and warrantied for a year... They know when and who bought it.

Snap-on used to be a little more liberal on its battery warranty. The system was abused and they changed the requirements. The lithium batteries are different story, there is supposed to be a way to read the number of charge cycles that the battery has been thru from a circuit inside the battery case. The Ni-cads had nothing to go buy but the date code.

several years ago a had a long 3/8dr flex ratchet from another tool vendor that they no longer had a repair kit available. i was offered a comparable replacement.

Snap-on does the same thing every day. I gave a guy an S80 for an old 1/2 ratchet that I could not get a kit for just today.

that was the only tool that ive ever had that was "upgraded".
i'm sure if i was still working on larger const eq, that would be different.
i used to break 3/4 dr breaker bar heads quite often. seems like i heard that SO doesnt have the small diameter 3/4 dr handles anymore, i'd assume they didnt have the breaker bar or ratchet heads either :dunno:

just answered my own question old handles were 13/16" dia, new ones are15/16"
i dont see the older ratchet or breakerbar heads listed
longest handle is 36" now, mines 40" (42 maybe)
