So I bought this drill bit sharpener today.
this was part of their grandfathers buisness and they were clearing the grandfathers house to sell it.

I was told ‘make offer’ so I offered $50 and they accepted.

even came with the owners manual

-A very good buy, congratulations. I've used several Darex sharpeners and find them to be a worthy addition to any shop. They sure beat those crappy, plastic Drill Doctor sharpeners.

$50 is very small change to get a Drill Doctor Sharping shop started. Good Luck and may you earn enough money to buy more tools and equipment.

Darex makes nice easy to use drill grinders. Looks like you got two chucks with it. The straps that hold the collet tight on the grinder side are snapped on yours but they are not that hard to make. I used a heavy piece of a zip tie to make replacement straps for mine and they are holding up well. I took the chucks apart for cleaning and that helped too. Ed.

I have seen and heard them called drill motors and drills but personally they are drills and drill bits. Maybe the drill motor started when they first made electric drills vs hand crank.

English as a language has evolved over the years that I have been using it. As an example one of the first books my parents read in me from used the word Aeroplain.

Thanks for the info
i have not messed with it since I just got it but while playing with it I was wondering why it was so loosely-goosey on that
