Probably worth noting that anti-seize is basically grease...

So no, it does not wear threads as it is fundamentally a lubricant.

What separates the anti-seize apart from plain grease is that should it dry out or be burned off (by heat), there is a residual component that forms a layer left behind. (This secondary dry lubricant is like powered graphite, but distinct chemically-- usually AL Cu or Ni--not C.

SS parts wear because of galling and galvanic issues with dissimilar metals (in presence of water) left over time in an unprotected state.

Basic advice is to use grease or loctite (if not ansti-seize) when using SS hw.

Despite the rumors, snorting anti-seize does not decrease the chances of memory loss or disulsional moments.

The only thing in that post that I have any familiarity with is the 10lb sledge. I have literally no idea what 'removing an ending' might mean or what one might use a spanner tool like that for (a whole house water filter wrench?), but I hope it means that you had a pleasant time doing whatever it was you were doing.

Yes I work in the injection moulding industry,I was removing the end cap off one of our machines.Broken screw tip.

For those clueless. The end cap is basically tightened to a bazillion mile pounds of torque. That big wrench has to be hit with a sledge for hours to get the cap of. The cap holds the main screw which injects the plastic into the mold so the force it has to take is pretty high tonnage wise.
