Hi, Gang--I bought a bunch of precision tools from an estate, and this item came in. It's a Slocomb, patented in 1909, there is a rounded end on each of the things with the handles, but I have no idea what they are called or what the function is. Anyone out there in Garagejournal-land seen one? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, looks like it'd be a really old version of an inside micrometer. Something kind of like this old Starrett in a way. You can thread handles onto most inside mic's too so that you can get a measurment further down the bore or a measurement of a groove or whatever.

Reflex checker: I doubt it, it's about three inches long. Perhaps for very small people. Possibly something for inside measurement, although it's not spring loaded and the dimensions seem fixed rather than adjustable. I'm stumped! And I know a lot about this stuff--or at least I thought until tonight!
