Just trying to decide on what Tool box to order from Costco, I've been thinking about 3 different boxes, the 56" wide top and bottom for $1399, the 75" wide for $1349 or the Super heavy 54" bottom with canopy for $1899

All priced pretty comparative. I have always been about the most space to store tools. So I think the first or second one. I have always been a top and bottom Guy so I would do the first one but that second one is sexxy.

Keep in mind, I haven't seen the SHD line in person... but that 54" bottom/canopy combo looks pretty dang sweet. Good price, cheapest I've seen it stateside is 2500-ish. It's a couple product lines above the other two, too.

I say get it and post up some picture reviews for the rest of us! ;)

Well this is a smaller version on the super heavy duty box I wanted but it has more double sliders on deeper drawers, no reinforcement sticking up in the drawers and lock mechanism on the drawer handles plus it has better caster wheels on the 54" and bigger.

This post shows the 56" bottom box from Napa which is the same box from international

I have the 56" one you have listed. It's the value series. If you are a tech don't buy it, get the upgraded one. If you are a homeowner it's absolutely perfect, unless you operate a shop (5 days a week) out of your box. For most, we do not.

I see you are in Canada. Keep in mind there are International boxes made in Canada and some made overseas, if that is important to you.

Is this for a home garage/shop, or work?

I'd get the 56" wide top and bottom. Price is great, and it usually pays to go up for storage, freeing up more wall space. I've never liked the concept of using a roller cabinet as a workbench, unless it's work and you have no other choice. I'd rather beat the snot out of a dedicated workbench and be nice to my tool box.

I don't really care where the box is made but glad it's made in Canada which seems to be the bigger ones, I've seen the cheaper ones at princess auto which aren't that nice. I would be using it as a replacement for my outdated 27" craftsman toolbox I had since I started in the trade. do you have any pics of the box you have now?

If you are going to use the box as a work bench also the second. If not the first one. That is allot of storage.

I already have a work and I always like the top and bottom box the best but I like the fact you have more smaller drawers with the 75".

Go for the SHO. The othere, even though their size are value line. Not bad boxes, a buddy has the triple, but it shows it is a value line. Get the SHO.
