Well that makes more sense than the sears web site.

Bent door skin hammer is used for folding the flange on door skins. Also excellent for high-crown work and finishing, without poking holes. Available with fiberglass handle only. Head is 6-1/2" long. 15 oz

yup, it's for replacing a door skin(outer panel) on the old shell(inner panel).
bending the lip w/ a hammer & dolly to the shell.

some guys still do this, but there are pneumatic tools now that do it a little faster.

And lemme tell you, when you use that motherfauker plus hold a dolly on the other side to hold everything up to the frame plus keep the skin from doing something stupid.... You will have Popeye arms! Jeez I hate putting on door skins. I tried a skin zipper and had to do quite a bit of fillerwork so I was out on using that thing.
