I bought several boxes of items at a garage sale. I only wanted them for several tools sticking out of the boxes. This was in the bottom of one in a case. From what I can gather it is an old scan tool. There is not much on ebay. Is it still used at all? I do old Jeeps, newer trucks, and farm equipment, so it is of no use to me. Is it worth selling, or is it like many "vintage" electronics, just outdated.

MSPI Pro Link 9000
90-99-0103 Ford cartridge
90-99-0107 Chrysler cartridge
90-99-0101 Engine Systems cartridge
case
a bunch of adaptors

Thanks in advance, you guys rock!:rocker:

I have that set. You should just keep it for older cars.

He (assuming it a "he") hasn't been "seen" on here in five years - I doubt you'll get a reply. Mouse over his avatar and you'll see the join and last-seen dates.

Out of curiousity, what is your interest in it? From some quick searching, I know it apparently worked for heavy trucks and also regular automotive usage as well. I think there are better options available for typical automotive usage, but I can see getting it if you had an older heavy truck you needed it for.

IF you have the right cartridge. ProLink made MANY cartridges for both cars and HD. I had nearly 20 carts and 3 ProLinks when I had the truck shop. Popular and handy starting in the 80's but declined after OBD2 in '95.

Yes, the correct cartridge would be a necessity. That architecture is similar to the OTC Monitor and Snap-On MT2500 scan tools - I've had both of those.

Fairly much out of date in the North as I see you are from RI and most cars that old in the Northern states are rotted away and crushed by now. I had one at work and we just tossed it out as have not used it in years and on EBAY they were not selling. The only ones worth buying would be fore the guys working on older Detroit Diesels called D Decks that have some computer controls but this one doesn't have that software. Other than that basically will do less than a 60.00 code reader with some data read outs you can buy anywhere these days.
