Howdy. I'm working on fixing a front car bumper that's in very rough shape. It's composed of three different kinds of plastics. They are:
1. pp+e/p- td20
2. pp+e/p - td10
3. aepds
So, I'm buying a plastic welding kit and I see that they bring PP plastic donors( I hope they are compatible) but nothing about AEPDS. What plastic will be compatible with AEPDS if I were to buy it? Thanks!

Short answer is AEPDS is similar to ABS or ASA.

Long answer, acrylonitrile is the main monomer in all 3 I mentioned with different rubbers as impact modifiers. Each has different UV resistance with ABS being the worst, ASA the best and AEPDS somewhere in the middle. I dont have experience plastic welding to know what consequences to bonding mixing different impact modifiers would have.

To add, I've had no trouble solvent welding ABS and ASA. I would imagine this would be the same with AEPDS and also while welding.
