what is fair price to ask ? Mac Boxes

Hi,
I am helping my cousin as some of you know and am starting with his Mac tool boxes .. AS I know nothing about this stuff could use advise on pricing please .. I checked new on mac but these are used and need clean although all work and seem decent condition otherwise.. I will get his friends to empty .. He has 4 of the tall blue ones .. one short blue drawers .. and one long blue superstation .. all macsimizer ( spelling?) .. I can sell as set or separately so that doesn't matter .. If you can give me ideas what I should ask price wise to be fair all around .. I would like to sell fast as he needs to get his stuff out of shop as soon as possible .. He is in NY on Long Island if location for price matters as well .. all the drawers pull out on everything .. i coulnt post all photos and sorry for glare.. one cabinet may have scratch or dirt .. the other 3 are fine .. thanks for any help ..

Total list price would be around $27,500 new. Used tool boxes are lucky to fetch 30-40% of their original list value, I would say you would get less than $10,000 for it all at most.

in general yes 30-40%. but the 4 side cabinet will not fetch that much, as most people dont want them. unfortunatly I think you are looking at a lower figure. Be glad you are not here in Michigan, it would be lower still

i beg to differ with fflintstone about the lockers. I'm about an 1 1/2 from Long Island. The reason why I know is because I searched forever to find a snap on locker that was decently priced. Everybody that had one wanted around $1700 and up for a locker. Nobody was willing to drop their price much IF AT ALL. I finally found one in LI and got it for $1250. That was the best deal I could get.

As far as being in LI.... I'm sorry but I think its gonna be the kiss of death for you. I hated every second of getting into and outta LI. The only reason why I went to LI is because I just didnt want to wait anymore for a locker and the price was right. Maybe its just me but getting into and outta LI is a chore! lol!

If those lockers were mine I'd ask for $1000 each one.. I think $750 would be
the lowest I'd go.
