What is it- auction grab bag

Been organizing the shop lately, went through my bits box and found these from an auction grab bag.

Some sort of collets, unusual some have no detents or flats?

And the hand operated bits?

Any insights, thx

We used to make split collars like that to mount drills, etc. in holders for turret lathes and screw machines. A couple of those drills are flat bottomed, so probably from something like that.
