What is it? Ratchet Head Adapter?

Recently I bought a GL872 Snap On 3/4 drive ratchet for pretty cheap. It came with an attachment that I can only guess is for attaching a different non Snap On handle to the ratchet head (torque wrench?), but can't find any info on it from Snap On.

It has a 15/16" diameter round stock end on one side with a pin detent to lock into the 3/4 drive ratchet head, and then (I didn't actually measure here) my guess is a 1" diameter round piece that sticks out with a hole through it. Not sure what it is used for and I don't have a use for it. Worth anything? Worth keeping around?

I believe the torque wrench comes in sections, and the long center section is tubular. One end connects to the handle, and one end to that black adapter piece.

Not sure if that black piece is missing a lock button on the bottom.

Yes, it's made to allow the use of torque wrench bodies.
