My brother inlaw was given two of these from guy who works at metal shop. Was told that use for straight edge. Dang don’t have clue what it’s called to google, nor how to use it as straight edge. Does it clamp onto base of your saw by loosing the thrum screw, or what? Thinking if knew correct name for this then maybe find YouTube on it. Brother inlaw and I are clueless,Tks for any ideas and links

They clamp on a framing square.

Used for stair stringer layouts.
