Buddy found this behind the heat pump of the house he bought a couple of months ago. I don't have a clue what it is so I thought some of you on here may know. About the size of a large 1/2" impact socket and one end is deeper than the other. Only markings you can make out look like a 24T on one end. Thanks.

Bike axle peg. attaches to the outer end of the front and or rear axle of a bmx bike. used for performing different tricks. some have a threaded hole at the end and screw onto the axle. some have a non threaded hole so you have to remove the axle nut , put the peg on and reinstall said nut with a long extension and socket.

Yup. Bike peg. The hole in the side is so you can stick a screwdriver or other rod in there to tighten it onto the axle.

Oddly enough there is a bmx bike in the bathroom behind security office at my work. Here's a picture of how the leg is mounted.
