I ran across this today at the flea market. I thought it was pretty neat looking and wasn't to expensive so I picked it up. Complete set and everything stamped "Made in USA"

Anyone ever seen it before? Maker? Junk?...lol

Sorry for pic clarity. Snapped with cell phone on my way out the door today.

Old style of ratchet and breaker bar. Sockets go on the end of the allen wrench looking things, which also fit in the ratchet thing.

Looks like a "None Better" set. There should have been a little yellow sticker on the right side with the brand on it. They were made by New Britain.

I didn't see a sticker. Must have been removed. Thank you for the insight. I found it on Alloy Artifacts site but not the exacts set. The ones they show are circa 1930's. I am thinking this one might be a bit newer than that?

Seems to be in good shape. Might just have to clean it up and hang it on the wall. Kind of an odd set up.

I've seen that same or similar set at lots of garage and estate sales. The sets all looked quite similar, some had different holders and there were a variety of names, I guess one place made them and they were branded by many.

I used to call these the "Poor Man's Socket Set". Seems like I used to see them at the old Western Auto stores, and probably in the tool and hardware section of F.W.Woolworths.

Yeah I have a set and all the ones I have seen seem really cheaply made. The sockets are very light and maybe even cast.

I've seen tons of these at yard sales and flea markets but this is the only metric one I have ever seen. USAF stencled on the back.

Now that one is cool!

How come I had never seen any of these at sales before and all of you have seen them all the time?...lol

I probably go to 20 flea markets a year and yard sales with the wife then auctions whenever I can....
