Looks to be for cranking an engine. Has a socket end that is about 5/8”, could be 11/16. I’m not at the shop right now. Looks maybe cadmium plated…

Hey. I found these small pullers on among some junk. Any idea what these would be used for. Usually gear pullers have 3 arms. The only stamping is the stamping in the one pic. Thanks.

That is a battery cable clamp puller. It's used to pull the cable ends off of post style car batteries.

^ Yes. Battery terminal puller. I have one of those here somewhere.

As long as we've got an active "what is it?" thread going, let me toss this one out here -
When I first saw this, because of that curve in the handle my first thought was "*** Crack Alignment Tool", but I'm just not sure.
I know there was an intended purpose for this piece of vintage steel, but I'm at a loss...

With that wedge piece on it, it looks like a spreader for something. He backside of it looks like it could be hit with a hammer to spread something apart.

Photos pulled from the internet.

^ good candidate for the "WTF?" thread.
that one leg looks like it pivots a bit. notches on side and grabby teeth on the business end.
would you maybe wind something around it? wire? cord?
it would service well as a back-scratcher, but you'd end up with bloodstains on your good shirts.

It says "MILLER", indicating the Charles Miller Company. After Miller Combination Tool, C.M.B. Wrench, and his licensing arrangement with Syracuse Wrench Company, who paid a fee to use his designs. You can see the same marking on my very early (and perhaps first ever) Charles Miller Company detachable crowfeet sockets, and on all the 5/8-inch drive male drive tang sockets in my complete Charles Miller Company No. 77 set that is posted in the same thread here...

EDIT: See especially post #2 and #5

Those were used to pull Battery Cables from the posts on top of the battery.
