What is magic sand ?

OK,

I've had a few problems with (not knowing) how to coat patio blocks, over a few years tried several different things, (after coming here I learned a lot more!)

So prior I also used different things to fill the spaces between the blocks and they have all cracked.

So this time I used some "magic sand" from Home Depot, you use it on a dry day, simply broom it in, then mist with water over the course of a day.

I then went over the blocks with a single part epoxy trying not to get too much into the cracks (which I did manage) and so far so good.

SO what is exactly magical about it?

It has additives so it bonds together when you wet it which keeps the weeds from being able to grow between the blocks and keeps it from washing away.
