About a year ago my Grandfather passed away and he left me his old toolbox. Its got quite a bit of rust on it and the paint is chipping off. I was wondering if you guys had the paint code for an old dark blue craftsman toolbox? I want to restore the toolbox in memory of my Grandfather.

Take it into an auto paint store. See if they can match it with their laser spectrograph. They should be able to mix whatever you want. I’d definitely use hardened polyurethane paint for something like a tool box.

If you have a model/serial number you could try reaching out to Craftsman and see if they can help with a code. Fresh paint matched by the proper code may not match 100% due to its age. Laser scanning is your best bet for touching up spots/sections as it will match the faded/worn paint.

Pop out a drawer, polish up the paint nice and take it to the automotive paint supply around to get it color matched.
