I have a tool that I bought years ago from Sears that I wish to purchase again. It was a bulky pair of heavy-duty scissors that turned out to be very useful over time.
When I look online, I figured that I would find many brands/options but instead have found only 2. Therefore, I am jumping to the conclusion that my search term is incorrect. I have found aviation snips and heavy-duty scissors as possibilities but neither seems accurate. Any suggestions?

Here are the 2 links that I found but have very few reviews so want to purchase something with more brand name/history/reviews...

Link to Amazon Option 1

Link to Home Depot Option 2

Thanks in advance in helping me with the correct search term....

Well, the ones you've linked are not technically "scissors", because the action is against an anvil not the shear between passing blades.

Check "cutters" in your searching. I have two pairs of the old Craftsman ones -- quite useful. I'm not sure there are a lot of differences once you're into the basic style you've already found.

I never knew the name of these. I use them for cutting hose to length.

I would, definitely, not call them tin snips.

I always called those hose cutters. I have the ronan style branded as Craftsman that takes normal razor blades. They've cut a lot of hose..

Also really great for cutting kevlar-reinforced electrical cables (and presumably tough rope.) Work better than nice Knipex cable shears in my particular application. The soft anvil allows it to cut every tiny Kevlar strand in one shot whereas even the nicest bypass shears get wedged/clogged.

Here's the manufacturer's site, and the page for the quick-change utility blade version.

Wonder if Lowes would warranty out the old set. I have ones I bought probably 20 years ago. They fell off a bench or something and the plastic "anvil" broke a chunk out of it.
If not, Ronan seems to sell replacement parts.

Maybe they were going to have a bikini model hand carry to me along with a cold frosty beer and a sandwich?

There's two sizes and you could have it the next day, along with extra blades if you want.
