Im getting a generac 130kw single phase 120/240
what is the difference between their rg130 model and a sg130 model with a level 2 sound enclosure And a h100 controller.

the rg130 I can find information everywhere. Where in the sg information is limited.

main requirements is to be as quiet as possible, this is a natural gas generator.

secondary requirements is that I can plug in a ethernet cable to monitor and log all parameters since like tech.

130KW????? What in the world are you running tha needs that much power? The SG series is designed for industrial installations while the RG's are designed for residential installations. I believe the SG's don't have enclosures as standard items, and has a bunch of configuration options. Neither series are off the shelf units, but are custom built after ordering, with a 27 week or longer lead time.

I like the level 2 enclosure of the sg, I see the specs and they seem to be running the same engine. Other than being preconfigured is there any other difference in quality?

130KW devided by 240V =540 AMP? That is some serious power at 240 V.. must be some wires!

OK, 130kw is not that much anymore. with the adoption of ev, you can pull 40kw charging 2 cars at once. And they take at minimum 4 hours to charge, with a 80kwh battery. I also have large UPS systems in the building.

Building has 30 ton of hvac as well.

attached is the specs of the SG version. the main purpose of my question is, if anyone knows what are the differences between one and the other.

I also want to upgrade the controller from the standard h100 to a power zone pro controller

again, just want to know anyone with experience as a user or familiar with it, besides my dealer. since is a large investment.

130kw is a ton for any kind of "normal house", but if you are running 30 tons of cooling, that's not remotely normal. Finding someone with first hand experience on two different 130kw generators that isn't the company you are buying from is unlikely
