What is the situation with Matco?

I haven’t been on here in a while or heard much about Apex since a flood stopped their relocation or something. Now that things have changed drastically with Apex, how was Matco impacted? When I was still on here regularly, it was getting impossible to get rebuild kits and people were taking them from other brands.

I guess my main questions are availability and COO for ratchet parts, are current/future hand tools going to be made by someone else or in a different country, and any other little pieces of info you may think I have missed.

Sorry if this has been covered but I didn’t see it. PS, It was sickening to see how fast Craftsman USA, Allen, Armstrong, KD, and others were lost.

I can comment on availibility of Matco ratchet parts - my 3/8 broke and my dealer didn't have the kit that day because he used it at a previous stop. He ordered one and returned the ratchet to me the following Friday (offered to have it back Wednesday, but I wasn't in a hurry). This would suggest that they aren't hard to come by. COO isn't an issue to me as they are an import (as are most tools in Canada).

Ratchets are still made here, AJ manufacturing took that over according to whats been said. Kits should be the same as far as older ratchets are concerned, 60/88 tooth.

The combo wrenches arent made here anymore, possibly Kabo OEM, not sure though, just speculating.
