What is this angled punch?

Only marked 5048, this was from a guy that had been a Ford mechanic for over 30 years.

It is for cutting off exhaust pipes, mufflers and so forth without cutting through the other pipe.

I think it could be a bushing cutter/removal tool.

Bushing cutter chisels were straight. The one pictured is a muffler pipe cutter. I have the snap on version.

Here are pictures. The short chisel is listed in the snap on catalog as a bushing splitter. The long, angled chisel is no longer listed in the snap on catalog but has several listings on ebay as a muffler pipe cutter.
