What is this Collins Company tool?

Ran across this in a yard sale and wonder if anyone knows its purpose. I know that The Collins Company made fine axes and machetes, but this looks like a specialized agricultural tool. Any ideas out there?

Did you look at the pictures? The stamping says Collins & Co, Hartford, Legitimus. It was made by the old, now defunct, Collins Ax Company from Collinsville, CT.

Other picture's decal says this:

It looks like it might be a type of “ Cocoa Knife/Pruner”
If you’ve never looked tru catalogs by companies that manufacture agricultural tools, there are all sorts slightly different designs of machetes, and cane knives, and palm knives, and brush knives, etc. etc., based on locally preferred designs, or different varieties of the same crop, etc.
Most of these tools are manufactured and sold for use overseas, do you rarely get to see the variety of different types at your local garden supply or hardware store.
The Cocoa knife is a guess based on the design of the one made by Ralph Martindale in the UK.
