The gentleman in question tends towards frequent negative posts which are frequently removed by the moderators. Hopefully that answers your question. He is the only GJ member on my ignore list.

It's a pet peeve of mine. Am old now but when a child, was taught a 'gentleman' is a man who is mannerly and respectful of others. Correspondingly a 'lady' is a woman who is mannerly and respectful of others. Properly applied either term is supposed to be complimentary.
Occasionally might use either term sarcastically, but make it clear when I do (e.g. quotes or tone of voice).
While I do note especially more knowledgeable members such as yourself, hadn't particularly noticed crguy.
Lots of people use 'gentleman' or 'lady' generically and of course you are free to do as you choose. It just saddens me a bit to see these terms rendered almost meaningless.
