High volume can crusher, missing feed chutes.

Kidding...I think.

Can Crusher? Or something that gets flattened and falls through the slots at the end.

By the way it is geared looks like it would cycle very slow.

Looks like a can crusher to me. Rotating arm moves the working mech side to side crushing something against the end plates where they fall.

I also say can crusher. Just so you know my opinion wasn't tainted, I opened that link and thought can crusher before reading the other replies.

Looks a bit over built for a can crusher, but it appears whatever it crushes it does it in a full stroke as there doesn't appear to be a provision for it to short stroke. Not sure about ore but it seems like it could be hard enough to stop the machine possibly.

stamp mill

Yep - newer version of this type of gold/silver mill commonly used during CA/CO and other 19th century gold rushes.

I originally thought can crusher was a far out answer but after looking at it again I don't think it's that far out. I suppose if you ran a recycling plant you would have a use for something like this...

I would have to buy it just to try it out to see what it can do, but bit far for me to travel to collect it,

its old looking,

Just a guess, I think it could be something like a block Stone or Granite cutter or even a log splitter,
