What is this puller for?

Hi all,

I picked up a large tool buy this week, mostly 60's and 70's vintage Hazet, Stahlwille, Matra, Belzer, etc.

In a box was a slide hammer puller made by Nexus in W. Germany, part number 52-0. The end piece looks familiar but I just can't sleuth this one out.

Most of the tools were for MBZ or VW so I expect it would be for one of those.

Anyone recognize this?

Thanks,

Bob

First thought I had was a valve lifter remover. I have one that's similar in design to yours...almost like a small slide hammer.

I can't see if there is a name and part number. If there is type it in and you should come up with what it is. I have several of them in a box of things to sell and I have no clue what it is. My guess it slips over something and you knock it to remove the object but?????

Without knowing dimensions, it's truly a crapshoot...

First thought was of some of the old diesels I worked on many years ago and the replaceable valve guides..
