What is this small press for?????

Picked this up at a yard sale..................dirty, dusty, greasy....but something told me to rescue it.

Says "Schuhmacher Matmakers Mfg by American Shoe Mach. & Tool Co. St Louis Mo. for L.F. Schuhmacher Wichita Kansas"

Weighs approx. 30lbs.

Shoe Machinery? Only thing I can think of is pressing the eyelets into the fabric/leather for laces?

Anyone have a use for it? I'm up for trades.

Either punching holes for shoe laces, or to press metal eyelets for the laces ??

Did it come with a punch or any dies ?

A lot of uses in an industrial environment, we have several similar ones at the plant for crimping bushings and things like that.
