Knew a guy who had the whole set and a bubble balancer to go with it but he was a bit of a hoarder so it got buried. The shed leaked and rusted everything into unusable lumps, would have been cool for the collecting factor alone.

I still do alignments with string tied to a couple jackstands, two of those would be an upgrade for me..lol

Back in the 80’s I used an alignment rack that used the same type of tables. Wish I had the toe gauge too.

It’s an alignment turntable. A quick google search will find that out for you… on this very website :lol_hitti

If OP doesn't know the name, how are they going to search for it? What you did is the same as "Oh Yeah, the answer is somewhere between page 1 and page 4523, good luck finding it" Also, Google search results vary from device to device.

The romantic hills of central Umbria, Italy,
the scrap metal place is asking $200 for this one piece. i was gonna refurb and make it wall art but $200 is too much for me.

Why, does it weigh 2-4 TONS?? At 5¢ a lb (high price for scrap steel), it must weigh 4000 lbs. It's cool, but WAY not $200 cool. He saw "Snap-On" and figured he'll get it from someone who has less sense than extra money. Now, if it were BOTH of the plates, then *maybe* someone would grab them, but... yeesh!!

Our former local online auction house does the same thing - he would separate out all the SO hand tools and list them separately, because he knew "normal buyers" see "Snap-On" and think they have gold, when all they have is worn out tools. Then put up these big font listings about "SNAP-ON tools..." even if they were clapped out ****.
