What is this stuff? Sealer?

Hoping the experts here can point me in the right direction. My son spilled a small amount of gasoline on my shop floor. He tried to clean it up with the hose. When he sprayed it down, a white stringy, plasticky, and very sticky substance came off of the floor. You can now see exactly where the gas was and it looks like the concrete is bare. Does anyone know if this is a sealer, and if so, what type (solvent or water based) it might be?

It's not painted. you're probably right about water emulsifying a melted coating. I'm thinking it's probably a cure and seal type product. The floor does have a smooth shiny appearance where the gas wasn't.

This happened to my floor too but it was pinsol. Took the shine out of the floor where it spilled. Wondering if anyone knows if I can get a good urethane clear coat over it. I have epoxy coat on my floor fwiw.

We have two that will work. HD322 or HD356voc.

Must degrease, degloss, solvent wipe prior to coating.
