Does anyone know what this tool was made for or who made it? It is a socket, 1-1/2” or 1-7/16” but I’ve never seen a socket with a square boss on it like this. It has been in our family for a long time but we don’t know anything about what it was for or where it came from. Markings are “SMF” and “S 6432”.

It looks like a rail road tool that might be used to adapt a wrench for attaching to a square/rectangular head screw spike and then adapting it to a hex bolt.

At the price on the Germanbliss site, maybe you should clean it up and sell it. I'm about 40 minutes or so from Princeville.
