Ok so this tool thing showed up in my toolbox and I don’t even remember where it came from. I dug it out today and me and my dad have been arguing about what it is for a few hours now. It has the letter “k” stamped on one side and “u-80” on the other side. It looks like the handle may have been longer at one time. Any info is appreciated.

I thought something with a ball joint, but it has a rubber piece on it which I wouldn’t think you would not want to beat on. I thought maybe if the handle was longer you could stand up and kick it under something to pry something off of the ground. My dad had some off the wall idea. He thinks it slid under an anchor on a floor and a small engine with a piece of pipe on it with slide over this as a mount.

.............and your idea?

I didn’t mean to make it look like his thought was a bad one. I just though it was a little bit of a stretch. We got it out because we were going to try to use it to break a bead on some aluminum rims I am wanting to scrap.

I'd go with flooring - decking idea, here's one I made for dismantling pallets. A neighbour also used it to remove sub flooring in his basement, after a flood.

To break that bead, you can put a 2 X 6 on it and drive up on it. That will take down the most stubborn beads.

That’s awesome thanks a ton everybody. I figured someone here would figure it out. I have no clue how I ended up with it. No one in my family has ever had a job in a mine.

It is a demolition tool, removal of flooring etc. The weight allows it to be swung like a maul under the next board, then leveraged up.

I followed the link to Kennametal- We use this type of tooth in our Cat asphalt milling machine, I get to change out 160 of them from the drum everyday. We don't use the OP tool to remove the teeth.
