What is this tool for?

Hey All!

Got this in a toolbox at an auction. What is it for and is it complete? It ratchets when you squeeze the handles.

It is for making data and voice cables that use a modular plug.

its a crimper, and looks like its missing the dies for the jaws. i could be wrong but that particular one looks like its for cat5 terminations.

Ratcheting Crimper,you can buy any size die and it should fit..
...and no it's not complete.

Yep. It got the lower die for an 8P8C (aka RJ45) connection, but is missing the upper.

Thanks guys, that was something along the line of what I thought it would be. It's really useless to me though. Any value to this?

You can get Jaws for it to crimp other kinds of terminations.
