What is this tool? Going through an old guys shop

I'm going through a shop looking to find homes for a gentleman's shop tools who passed. A lot of stuff I've not seen before. Thought I'd post some pictures here to see if someone out there is familiar with what I have. I believe his stuff is old. He restored Ford Model A's. Here is a photo

I think you are both exactly right. And this is not necessarily an old tool. I bought one from Snap On last year and it looks almost identical. Doesn't mean it isn't an old tool either though.

Pilot bearing puller was usually used with a slide hammer puller to pull bearings. The center shaft would not go through the jaws to bottom on the crank shaft.
