What is this tool? How is it used?

I'm thinking it's a tool for working **** drywall joints? But I don't remember. If so, I need to google the name of it and figure out how it works! OR come up with another way to finish up a **** joint. Lots of youtube videos but i was curious what this was..

That is a Glazier's knife. For glazing Windows.

I have one of those, but had my parents send me a UK spec putty knife as that's what I'm used to & they involve less faffing about.

LOL.. Well that makes sense.. it was near the can of glazing compound and my drywall ****. thanks guys for the quick response.

I would say my putty knife (top one above) is around 6" length.
