What is this? The square shank is 1/2", with two detent balls. It was in with a bunch of old sockets.

Looks like a good way to turn a socket with a bar or screwdriver.

I guess it could be from a breaker bar, but it is much longer than any ones I have

Male end of a cheap universal?

^ the eye of that thing looks like it's at a slightly different angle than the drive anvil or maybe my vision is skewed.
