BUT I have NO Idea what this thing is Mounted in the back .. LOL

Anyone have an Idea ?

I'd pick it up, give it some fresh paint, and sell it to Kim Kardashian as a *** toy... Kim will dump Kayne in a heartbeat, for this thing....

I would say it's a drill. If you look at the second pic it shows a hydraulic motor with what looks to be a chain or something with a metal cover going over to the business end.

It's not really a drill, it's a Geoprobe, maybe a 6600 series? The faded decal on the side was a big hint. It's essentially a post pounder that collects continuous soil samples in an Acetate sleeve.

It is a Geoprobe hydraulic direct push sampling system. They are built in Salina Kansas. I have been using them since 1993 to collect soil, water and gas/vapor samples to depths as great as 200' below ground surface.
I took delivery of a brand new one on an F550 chassis just this week.

I haven't seen one of those things since moving away from Salina! Saw plenty of them leave GeoProbe when I lived there, but that is the first one I have seen otherwise.
