Dual diameter threads and Phillips head used in GM plastic parts like bumpers and grilles. Dealer wants over $3 each and I need a dozen for something that should cost 10 to 15 cents each. Part number 11609539. What are my options? Fastenal closed for the day.

You could go to the salvage yard with a 1 quart zip lock bag and fill it up full of those screws and it would cost you about 5 dollars. People take the parts but then always leave the fasteners behind. Don't even try finding those HI/LOW plastic tapping screws at a hardware store or an auto parts store; they're not going to have them.

I'll get some off my parts car this weekend, just thought I could get it done today. GM sure has some stupid parts pricing. A complex electronic headlight switch is just $30 while one simple screw is $3.
