Well its made in Hong Kong. And looks pretty cheap lol. Any ideas as to what it is? :wtf:

A simple, stamped steel, open-pawl, single-direction ratchet, me thinks?

Well, I can do patience, execpt when Im really curious... Curiousity killed the cat lol. But I played with this thing for like 10 minutes trying to figure out what it was lol. Then had to put it on here. So sorry for impatience.. just really wanted to know.

Weld a long handle on it and use it for a ratcheting serpentine belt wrench.

This was my thought when I saw it. Kastar makes a set of serpentine belt wrenchesthat look somewhat similar. I have a set by mac that I love. My go to for serp belts before I pull out the gear wrench set

I think that or similar 1/4 wrench and socket set was sold by Oxwall in the '50's... Oxwall was a cheapo brand that bought tools from all over to fill the low-end of the tool market.
Quality ranged from unworkabble **** to fairly decent occupied Germany stuff.
The Germans and Japanese were handicapped at the time because they were allowed to produce only rather soft grades of steel, stuff unsuitable for weaponry. I have seen this called out as the reason for rapid camshaft failure in early postwar VW's...
