I picked this up today because I dont know what it is and always like finding out what things are so I know in the future if I come across them again.
The only markings on it are the numbers.

It's a DAVENPORT P/N # 848-3 FEED FINGER WRENCH and apparently used with something called feed fingers in machine work. I'm not much of a machinist but someone will come along....

A davenport is an automatic screw machine that machines parts from bar stock like a lathe. The feed fingers are used to advance the bar stock thru the collet to make the next piece. They are specific for each size of stock and must be changed each time the size of the bar is changed.

I've been finding a lot of tools that I have never seen before and have no idea what function they preformed Most of them are brass.
