Thanks, so instead of double nutting this can be used? I feel like it would chew the threads up

Its meant to grip the shank of the stud below the threads....and, yes, it will scar the stud, leaving burrs to be filed down.

Cool thing is I have never seen one with 2 holes, only one. That one is very versatile. What brand and model is that?

Also use grease on these so you don't bind them up on the stud you are removing. I have used one dry on a really difficult stud and it bound up and I was unable to separate the tool from the stud.
