I bought this at a flea market and have no idea what it is or what it was used for. I think a part or two may be missing. Anyone have an idea what this ? Thanks.

Not sure about that little thing is on the bottom, but yeah, it looks like an anvil... maybe it had some kind of lever-press gizmo to seat bearing races?

could be a form for making gas light lamps, there are still a few being made by hand here in copper and other softer metals.
