I thought about the brander but the metal in not very heavy. Cabbage chopper? It is hand forged. Thought about a bulb planter but the handle is only about 2 feet

It's not a branding iron. It's too sharp and the wooden handle is too close to the business end. My take is it is a "chopper" of some kind, made to chop cabbage or something similar.
