What is your favorite adjustable wrench lube?

I'm bringing a rusty wrench back to life. The jaw was rusted shut but I've loosened it up and it now opens and closes pretty good.....not like new but much improved. Any lube recommendations? I was thinking about Unicorn tears but that stuff is hard to find and pretty rare. Any suggestions appreciated.

Kroil, cover the whole wrench with it and then wipe it off.

Toss that puppy in a bucket of Evaporust, it will do wonders. It will most likely improve the rotational movement of the adjustment wheel as well. For lube, there are many things that can/will work, its just a matter of preference. 3 in 1 oil, wd40, grease, etc. are all good.

I would use Boeshield.

Nothing, ground steel slides nicely on ground steel. I'd disassemble that wrench, clean the rust off, and use it.

Below the areas of heavy rust you will find pitting. For the rest.of the life of this tool you will need to keep that surface oiled. Boeshield is very effective at this.

PB Blaster applied when needed works for me. (After de-rusting the entire wrench)

Make sure you take it apart to get into all the nooks and crannies for best cleaning. You might have to replace the spring for best functionality but I have no idea where to get one that small, maybe a watch/clock repair shop or a donor wrench? With that one, I'd suggest painting the shank and polishing the jaws, sides, and the channel if you can for best re-rust prevention. Wax all sliding surfaces then use a light grease for lube, and if you polish any surfaces wax them too.

Rub it down with fluid flim. That or soak it in ****** fluid.
