I use fluid film as well. I've only been using it for about a year but I really like the stuff.

Not sure how long its been around but I bet their website says somewhere on it

$2 a can gloss black from Wal-Mart.

I Don't worry about rusting tools since I use them enough that it's very rare I see rust.

Anyone use Boeshield?

http://www.boeshield.com/

I bought some to use on misc. plated fasteners on a car I'm restoring, but haven't used it yet, or finished the car.

Yes but it has a strong solvent smell. I've switched to Fluid Film because it's a natural product with less toxic fumes. Fluid Film does not smell nice either but it is probably better for you.

I was using BOESHIELD T-9 on fasteners (manganese phosphated) and misc bare metal parts in auto restoration. BOESHIELD is a good product and serves its purpose.

FLUID FILM with its unique woolwax (lanolin) formula contains no solvents to evaporate.

I've has ~ok~ experiance with T9. Not crazy on it on my tablesaws.

I call FF and WP today. FF advised the product drys ~wet~ wheras with WP, the product drys dry...

I've gone ahead with the WeatherPruf for now. Yes, I'm sure you can take a rag and cut back the *tack* with FF...but I was not really looking for a *wet* product.

I continued to clean and store some nice used tools I've picked up over time.

Really want to repeat how much I like using FLUID FILM. Yes its a little wet, tacky, an oily. It contains no solvents to evaporate.

I am now a dealer. Anyone close to Renton/Seattle,WA contact me for the Aeresol Can.
