My Milwaukee Super-Sawzall with variable speed is the best tool ever invented. It is powerful and versatile- lets you cut anything in almost any position. Love it.

Ok you can laugh if you want to (not the thing between ones leg,see above), but years ago I bought a tool from the Gorilla Tool Company LLC. called "THE GORILLA TOOL" not the Gorilla ***** for some of you!
That tool is fantastic if it has any downside it does not check for any size under 1/4" for machine screws. That tool comes in either sae/or metric and it will last forever even under the worst environments,it will tell you the bolt size,the thread pitch,what wrench to use and the bolt grade. Everything is marked in large numbers making it easy to read (for us older guys)and it fits into your shirt pocket.
I seem to recall that I bought it from MSC and it is not cheap,but I can tell you that this tool is all made of SS and it is built to withstand anything and it is made in the USA.

Hard to nail down, but as people have stated before, whatever tool that is needed for the job. Here are some of my favorites:
- Matco 88 3/8 locking flex ratchet (absolutely love this tool)
- 16 oz. CMan hammer (the one my father gave decades ago)
- Gearwrench ratcheting screwdriver
- 1/4 CMan clear handle screwdriver (again, from when I was 16...this one is tough as hell)
- 420 Channellocks (been on almost every job I have done.)
- 8" Channellock long nose pliers (use these also all the time)
- My 18v DeWalt drill

Surprisingly, I really like my Ace Hardware 1/2inch breaker bar. Its very comfortable, and it has taken a lot of abuse! I bought before I was well educated on tools, but I have not broken it yet, so no need for a better one.
I love my SK ratchets, and large handle craftsman picks.

My Kobalt Lock-Blade Utility knife. I actually have two, one in house and one in shop. I use it constantly. I've used every boxcutter/utility knife out there and this is the coolest, safest and sturdiest I've ever seen. I also have all of the various blade types that come with the set. Very handy!

My pocket knife I happen to be carrying on any given day. I use it a bunch at the shop I work at and I use it even more when Im not at work. Easily the number one tool everyone should have.

My 10 inch Snap-On (made by Ridgid) pipe wrench. I did all the alignments at the Volvo dealer I used to work at & when trying to set the toe on a car with a frozen tie rod, I found that a 12 or 14" pipe wrench is too bulky. I had a routine I went through, where, with the car a couple feet off the ground on the alignment stands I would lay on a piece of cardboard & situate myself so I could push on the pipe wrench with my foot. I would steady myself by wrapping my hands around one of the legs of the nearest alignment stand. I always loved that groaning sound as the tie rod threads broke away from their rusty bonds. Never even used the hot wrench, either, except only on the tie rod lock nut.

without a doubt it would be my makita 18v impact driver.
use this baby all day everyday. i even got some 1/4in shank quick load drill bits, barely use my drill anymore useless im going through something more than 1/4in thick. like drilling out a stud or bolt.
