I find my incoming voltage fluctuating between 235 V to 244. Does anybody else monitor this on a daily basis? Or am I just weird? Do I have OCD, maybe?:shocking:

I don't check it everyday/week/month. I will say that when I do, it's between 244-247 V. Weird??? I'll let your wife decide on that. We ALL are weird in some ways.

I had problems with line voltage last year when it dipped down to about 220v and knocked my solar inverter off line. Power company came out and fixed something at the local sub station but not that you mention it - now it seems awful high

First pic is from today. You can see the voltage starts out around 7:30 AM and gets as high as 255v around 11 am and 12 noon before starting to dip down and bottoms out at 241v around 6 PM. It wasn't even that hot today. Looks like I will have to give the power company another call

Second pic is of the week. Basically each morning it starts out around 250v and drops to around 240v before climbing slights. Usually when it stops registering at this time of the year is 9 PM

I had to look this up again. My electrical utility is Southern California Edison and here are their parameters on line voltage: (228v to 252v is within spec)

I find my incoming voltage fluctuating between 235 V to 244.

Not unusual. Power system voltages can fluctuate based on load. Typically, you'll see the lowest voltages when power system load is at a peak (typically late afternoon on a summer day) and you'll see the highest voltages when system load is at a minimum (typically early AM before sun is up). You might see more fluctuation if you are at the tail end of a main power line. Voltages can fluctuate for other reasons as well such as a PoCo taking a generator off line for maintenance.

Most PoCos spec +/- 5% of 240V for normal system operation and +/- 10% for temporary abnormal system conditions.
