Long time lurker, first post.

I've been doing some looking into this & got the idea from the father-in-law. He told me he had a great floor in they're last house. He just threw down some tinted Kilz paint, two coats.:eyecrazy:

I admit I like the idea of the epoxy floor, but. On a budget I could do the Kilz idea on the cheap. Just wondering if anyone else has done this & what they're results were.

Thanks in advance, it's been a real inspiration looking at you guys' work & now have my 21x21 garage bare with nothing but a Kreg Jig bench & wood to start building.

Floor paint is a good substitute as well.

I have painted a lot of bare concrete surfaces with floor paint, a lot!

Kilz is designed as a primer. Even if it is tinted, it is still just a primer. It may look better tinted, but to get a true finish you will need a top coat of something other than primer.
PPG has some good options for reasonable prices.

Ha. I was doing a reno in a eefffffed up house. Everything was gutted but the brick and foundation. Still smelled like ****. Sprayed the piss out of the house with Kilz, even the concrete floors in the basement and garage. Still looks ok. Deff wearing fast, but not bad. I wouldn't do it though. Not a flooring solution if you gotta keep maintaining.
